About Quiet Kid Shop

Hi, I'm Kris, and welcome to Quiet Kid Shop.

I've been collecting, researching, identifying, designing, and selling online since 1999, but my fascination with old books, postcards, and forgotten treasures started much earlier.

As a kid, I spent countless hours wandering bookstores, antique shops, and flea markets with my grandparents. I learned early that objects tell stories. Sometimes it's a well-loved book with notes tucked inside. Sometimes it's a postcard mailed across the world a hundred years ago. Sometimes it's a strange little photograph that raises more questions than answers.

I've been happily falling down historical rabbit holes ever since.

Books were my first love. I still own many of my childhood favorites, including treasured fairy tale books and beloved editions I could never part with. Later, photography and visual storytelling became part of the picture too. My dad had a darkroom in our home, and growing up around photography gave me an appreciation for images, design, and the way ordinary objects quietly preserve history.

Quiet Kid Shop grew from all of those things.

This shop is a place for curious people, collectors, readers, history lovers, artists, and anyone who enjoys finding unexpected things. You'll discover antique postcards, ephemera, affordable used books, unusual vintage pieces, creative resources, and objects that simply felt too interesting not to rescue.

I care deeply about thoughtful curation, honest descriptions, fair prices, and making sure beautiful things find homes with people who genuinely appreciate them.

Mostly, I hope Quiet Kid feels a little like wandering through an old neighborhood bookstore you didn't expect to find.
